Jewelry that finds its elegance in its simplicity. Each piece is handcrafted using traditional jewelry making techniques in a small studio located just outside of Washington DC. Using sterling silver, gold filled and vermeil as well as semi-precious gemstones, Holly Blue Jewelry’s classic, clean and enduring designs will be worn for years.
Holly Blue Jewelry was started in 2012 as a way to explore my creative side and to find balance in my life. I dabbled in jewelry making through the years, but the passion truly started after my first silversmithing class. In May of 2012 I completed a 3 month program in jewelry fabrication and stone setting at the New Approach School for Jewelers in Franklin, TN. I strive to create classic, simple and timeless pieces. Holly Blue Jewelry is the culmination of a dream, a passion and also is now a source of inspiration for me. I hope you are inspired too.
My Process
I currently work almost exclusively in sterling silver. I heat and forge the silver using torches, hammers, chasing tools or other traditional jewelry making techniques. I bend, twist, hammer, solder, saw and generally beat up the silver until I get it to the desired final form. Each piece is made by hand and either starts with flat sheets of silver or solid silver wire. I’m motivated to create classic lines, simple beauty and timeless wearable jewelry. I hope that you love and enjoy wearing your Holly Blue Jewelry for years to come.
